Welcome
I’m Babi, a UKCP accredited psychotherapist based in Brighton. I offer short-term and long-term psychotherapy to adults, as well as group therapy, psychodrama groups, and workshops.
People often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. Many have lived through experiences that continue to affect their emotional world, relationships, and sense of self. I specialise in working with trauma, developmental trauma, PTSD and CPTSD, and I also support clients with anxiety, depression, addiction, and feeling stuck.
My work is grounded, relational, and trauma-informed. I aim to offer a space where you feel safe enough to explore deeply, at your own pace, with curiosity, care, and respect.
How I Work
As a psychotherapist, I see my role as a trustworthy and steady companion, walking alongside you as you explore your inner world and make changes that support a fuller, more connected life.
I work in an empathetic, non-judgemental, and containing way, paying close attention to safety, attachment, and nervous system regulation. Therapy is not about “fixing” you, but about creating the conditions in which meaningful understanding and change can emerge.
Whether you are seeking brief, focused therapy or longer-term depth work, we will work collaboratively, guided by your needs and capacities.
Areas I Support
I work with adults experiencing:
-
Trauma, developmental trauma, PTSD and CPTSD
-
Anxiety, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm
-
Depression and low mood
-
Addiction and compulsive behaviours
-
Relationship and attachment difficulties
-
Feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected from yourself
My particular niche is working with complex and developmental trauma, including experiences rooted in early relationships that continue to shape adult life.
Therapeutic Approaches
I draw from a range of evidence based and experiential approaches, integrating them carefully rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.
My training includes:
Psychodrama psychotherapy (individual and group)
EMDR
Attachment-focused EMDR
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Imago Couples Therapy (currently in training)
Polyvagal Theory
I also integrate psychodynamic theory, neurobiology of trauma, parts work, and structural dissociation. This allows therapy to be responsive, embodied, and tailored to you.
Professional Experience
Alongside private practice, I have worked in a range of specialist settings supporting individuals facing complex life challenges, including trauma, addiction, mental health difficulties, and social vulnerability.
This background continues to inform my work, shaping a therapeutic approach that is compassionate, socially aware, and deeply respectful of each person’s story.
Working With Me
I offer therapy to adults seeking meaningful and lasting change within a supportive therapeutic relationship. Sessions are available in Brighton and online.
